My journey with herbs has brought so much light to my life. Everything we need has been put here on Earth to use. What I love is discovering uses, tastes and different things to help in each of our wellness journey. Everyone has a story and here is my journey with Pau D'arco!

So I first met Pau D'arco on my battle with my mold exposure. After every doctor I went to had nothing to say but to try another medication, I started my own research. Little did I know months later when my son would be diagnosed with stage 4 cancer my research would continue and my desire for natural medicine would become much more intense!

My mold exposure caused rashes, extreme itching, candida and hormonal imbalance. As I researched different things to look into I learned about the benefits of Pau D'arco.

Pau D'arco is native to South America, where it is used for many medicinal benefits.

Making my Batch of Tea

After learning it can help with arthritis pain, cancer, candida and inflammation I thought I would give it a try. I am not a fan of tea bags, do we really know what the tea bags are made of? To be safe I buy mine loose and make my own tea. It has a mild flavor to it.

I started to drink the tea daily. Little did I know months later my son would be drinking it as well after his stage 4 cancer diagnosis.

What is in your refrigerator to drink? So many of us buy drinks at the store without reading labels. In addition many people never see the beauty in making your own drinks. reaping the benefits of not only knowing what you are putting into your tea but feeling the healing benefits! You reap the rewards of assisting your body and being an advocate in your own health!

MAKING MY TEA

5 cups of water

Warm gently for 15 minutes and then I let mine sit in my pot for several hours or over night. I stir a few times and it will tend to settle to the bottom.

In the morning I strain it and store it in my glass pitcher in our refrigerator.

*If you have a lot of sun where you live, you can put it in a glass pitcher outside and let the sun warm this herbal tea for the day. We do that sometimes without warming it on the stove.

Our world is on fast forward. So much sickness is being diagnosed. I truly believe if you slow down and look at the world around you, take time to nourish your body people can prevent many illnesses. What a gift it is to make your own food. What a pleasure it is to create this freedom in your life. I really do consider it a freedom! Learning new teas and food preparation ignites a creative side that many people forget about . I love hearing my clients on the phone say that was easy or I feel so much better. When I get a hug from my local clients telling me it wasn't as hard as they thought, I smile knowing they too have discovered it is now time to slow down and take care of themselves and their family.

I love seeing my son Jared reaching for the pitcher of this tea and picturing his body fueling with the goodness this herb has to offer. What a blessing it is that we have the power right in front of us to take care of our bodies. We must love ourselves enough to love our health.
