Golden Milk- A Family Favorite

When my son had cancer I started cooking with a lot of turmeric. He doesn't like much spice so it was difficult for me to incorporate it in his daily nutrition protocol. On the other hand I knew it was too important to leave out. I started experimenting and we use it on many things now. We season vegetables with it. We throw it in our stir fry but I think our family would agree this drink is a favorite.

So now we have these two power house, healing foods and we are going to a add them to this recipe ! We love this drink warm. We never boil it but having it warm has taken over as one of our comfort foods!

MAKES 3 CUPS

3 cups Almond Milk

2 TBS Turmeric

2 TBS Coconut Oil

1pinch of Ginger

1 TBS Pepper (for increased absorption)

2 Tsp of sweetener of choice.

We use Maple Syrup, Stevia or Honey.

Experiment on what you like best

*Whisk all ingredients together over low heat until warm*
